DESCRIPTION: NGO for CSA prevention and awareness, founded in 2003.
SERVICES ON CSA: Awareness talks for parents, teachers and caretakers at clubs, schools, orphanages and other platforms to understand CSA, how to teach personal safety to children, how to recognise signs of abuse. Also for college students and other young adults to understand CSA, through theatre and other interactive media. Training programs for teachers and caretakers, trainers, counselors, psychiatrists, NGO professionals, and caretakers of special children. Counselling for child victims and their families. Counselling for abusers who are receptive to therapeutic guidance is also offered. Advocacy includes lobbying with the government to include CSA awareness as a subject for B.Ed and D.Ed students, and to make Personal Safety Education compulsory in schools. Resources include multilingual trainers, educational material, data bank of published cases of CSA in the media, legal expertise, global networking with other organisations, media liaison, database of sexuality educators, database of counselors and psychotherapists. Publications on CSA in English, Hindi, Marathi, free of cost.
